Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
1 Corinthians 13
Love is the most powerful force in the universe. Mike King, CEO of VOA, often says, “We are in the love business.” As 1 Corinthians 13 tells us, “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” Zora Neale Hurston captures it perfectly:
“Love makes your soul crawl out from its hiding place.”
Zora Neale Hurston
For me, love is my daily motivation. In every interaction, whether with colleagues or clients, I strive to come from a place of love. When we do this, we naturally begin to see the goodness in others. We also recognize that love is a transformative force. No matter the situation, even when we face difficult conversations, we can approach them with love. Others feel our genuine intention, and we understand that showing love and care transforms not only those around us but ourselves as well. Loving oneself is an ongoing journey, one that requires patience, self-reflection, and care. By embracing our unique qualities, practicing self-compassion, setting healthy boundaries, prioritizing self-care, celebrating our growth, and surrounding ourselves with positivity, we embark on a path to deep, meaningful self-love. Let’s remember to love others and recognize that love is the greatest gift we can give and receive.
