What is NAP?
The Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) offers Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) tax credits annually for distribution to Indiana donors by eligible nonprofit organizations.
How it works
For each dollar you give to Volunteers of America, (a $100 minimum donation), by December 31, 2022, you will receive 50% of the gift value in tax credits to reduce your state tax liability for the tax year of 2022.
NAP credits are distributed on a first come, first serve basis. To claim your NAP credits, complete your donation either online or via mail (noting in the memo line of your check “NAP credits”), email giving@voaohin.org to notify us of your donation and attach the completed NAP Donation Contribution Form.
Where does my donation go?
Each year, donations given through the NAP program have supported Volunteers of America programs that offer hope, restore dignity, and transform lives.
This year, NAP tax credit donations will support the Turning Point Recovery Center, an addiction recovery program for individuals involved with the Criminal Justice System. Through this program, clients are offered the opportunity to address their addiction through treatment rather than face incarceration in response to their struggles with sobriety. Visit our Turning Point Recovery Center page for more information about the program.
